Greetland have Premier Division leaders Shelf in their sights

-

Halifax AFL Premier Division leaders Shelf United face what could be a tough test when they travel to take on Greetland.

Mark Leonard’s Greetland side became the first side to take points off Sowerby Bridge in their last outing and on that evidence could prove hard to beat once again.

Sowerby Bridge host Sowerby United and will be looking to get back to winning ways against visitors who have not played since late October.

Shelf FC have slipped off the pace in the title race and now need to string together a good run of results.

Midgley United are next up for Shelf and have displayed a good fighting spirit in recent games and a continuation of that spirit could see Shelf needing to find their A game.

Hebden Royd Red Star Res lead the way in the First Division and should maintain at least the four point lead they have over second placed St Columbas with a win against Illingworth St Mary’s.

St Columbas face a tough game at third placed Ivy House.

Denholme United take on bottom of the table Flying Dutchman and should be expected to take all three points.

Calder 76 may just have the edge against Shelf United Res. Greetland Res have been having some good results and have climbed up to second in the Second Division.

They travel to title-chasing Warley Rangers. Sowerby Bridge Res take on St Columbas

Res and look likely to prove they are the stronger side.

Sowerby United Res host Shelf FC Res in what could be a closely-contested game.

In the Calder Valley Sunday League Premier Division, second-placed Cock and Bottle can close the gap on leaders Linthwaite to three points if they win at Feathers.
