Game on with fun for young and old to share together

-

One good thing to come out of lockdown is that we’ve spent more time at home with our partners and children. Home working and home schooling may have been difficult juggling acts but we’ve reaped the rewards of being able to enjoy meals together and spend precious weekends in each other’s company with no outside pressures pulling us away from our nearest and dearest.

Perhaps the toughest task is keeping everyone entertained at the same time. Family films can only hold the attention span for so long and picking the right one to span the age and gender gaps is difficult.

Television programmes and streaming services are equally taxing as you try to find something that ticks all the boxes for everyone, something that won’t create friction in the family and lead to tantrums and tears.

So how about powering down digital devices and playing a game together?

Normally the preserve of Christmases past when families had more leisure time at home and there weren’t the counter attractions of social media and other hi-tech diversions, families would bond together or engage in friendly rivalry over board games.

But since lockdown, there has been a resurgence in games that families can play indoors.

How about giving these newcomers to the games market a go?
