IT’S DISAPPOINTING when there’s no games. In the current climate with everything that’s going on, and obviously the weather’s not been the best, it’s been difficult.

But you’ve got to keep seeing the positives that the games will come thick and fast sooner rather than later, we’ll be back to what we do and enjoying it.

Even for training, you’ve got to make sure you’re in the right mindset and that you’re always prepared.

There’s a bit of disappointment on the day of a game because you’ve put a load of effort into it and then everything you’ve worked at that week just comes to a halt. But that’s part and parcel of the job we’re in, you can’t help the weather so you’ve just got to deal with it as it comes.

Obviously all the gyms are shut at the moment so you can only do stuff at home, but the club have been good at putting on sessions when games have been cancelled so it’s not like we’ve missed training sessions or missed days. We have found somewhere to go and train to top ourselves up, so we’re still fit and sharp.

We were all kicking ourselves after the Maidenhead game, we knew it wasn’t good enough as a collective and we demanded so much more of each other. It was just one of those days that don’t come around very often but happened.

With the games due to come thick and fast, we wanted to put it right but now we’ve had a little bit more extra time to tweak certain things and get back to what we’re good at.

We don’t know each day to the next what’s going to happen about the season but as long as we concentrate on ourselves and make sure we’re the best we can be, then whatever happens we’re there to give our all.

We can’t control what anyone else does in their games, whether they’ve got them in hand or they’re behind us. As long as we worry about ourselves, that’s the main thing.
