IT WAS a disappointment not to carry on the great run we’ve been on against Eastleigh.

It was a difficult game on a difficult pitch. I think they possibly played the pitch better than we did, went a little bit more direct.

It was always going to be a really tight game and unfortunately for us they managed to get the goal that decided it.

It was brilliant to be back out there, I was absolutely delighted. It’s been a long time coming. As a club and as a person I’ve had to take my time with it and make sure my health was where it needed to be before I knew I could continue. It needed time to settle down and thankfully it has done.

It’s been a while so I was delighted to be back out there and be selected and help the team in this final run we’ve got.

It’s been nearly four weeks since I’ve been back training with the lads and I’ve been making sure I’ve been going for the types of challenges that caused the injury, really testing myself and making sure there was no surprises that cropped up. The confidence is certainly back for me going in for those types of challenges and I’m excited to be out there.

We’ve been on a great run recently, which is down to a lot of hard work behindthe-scenes, on the training pitch. We’ve really attacked these games and wanted to put ourselves in a really good position.

There’s nothing worse than playing games that don’t really mean too much, but we’ve put ourselves in a position where we can challenge and make sure we try and cement our place in the play-offs.

It’s a big test for us on Saturday but we’ve got nothing to lose really, we’re at home, we’ve been playing really well and managed to make The Shay a really good fortress for us. We’ve got to keep that momentum. It was a blip on Saturday but we’re excited to come up against the leaders, see what they’ve got, see what we’re about and test ourselves.
