Wild is not planning any more additions after loaning Obiero

CONTINUED FROM back

Wild says Jake Hyde would be fit to start on Monday if selected.

“Hyde’s back and fine now, obviously the concern on Saturday was Jack Earing, who was feeling that hamstring, which had kept him out the week before, at half-time,” said the Town boss. “We wanted to monitor it and probably five minutes before he scored we should have taken him off, but we got him off in time and he’ll just need to rest up and be back in training the later part of this week.”

On midfielder Martin Woods, who missed the Sutton game with a back problem, Wild said: “Woodsy’s the same, he didn’t train on Tuesday but he’s due to train later in the week.”

Attacker Jamie Allen played in both Montserrat’s World Cup qualifiers over the last few days as they drew 2-2 against Antigua and Barbuda and 1-1 against El Salvador.

“Jamie landed back in the country on Wednesday,” said Wild. “He’s had two excellent 90 minutes for his country and from all reports I’ve had back from his manager, he’s done really well.”

On midfielder Luke Summerfield’s progress, Wild said: “Summers joined in full training again on Tuesday, so I’m really pleased, we can get a full week’s contact training in with him and we’ll see where we are middle of next week.”

Wild said loanee Tahvon Campbell has returned to parent club Cheltenham for treatement on his calf injury.

“Tahvon’s back at Cheltenham doing the early part of his rehab,” Wild said, “he’ll be down there until he can run again, so we expect him back up here maybe in the next 10 days to start his running side of his rehab with a view to being back early May.”

Wild isn’t planning any more additions after signing Huddersfield youngster Micah Obiero on loan and being allowed to keep Hull loanee Billy Chadwick until the end of the season.

On new signing Obiero, Wild said: “Micah played against us when we had the game against Huddersfield about a month ago. He stood out for me in terms of his ability to play in the number 10, his ability to play as a wide forward if we play as a three. Because he covered so many positions he’d give us more around the group. Money is at a premium so how accommodating Huddersfield have been in terms of the finances is fantastic and it shows the local clubs trust us with their quality young players. He’s got really good receiving skills, receives the ball really well in tight areas, he can face people up, he’s got pace and he can chip in with a goal or two as well.”
