JAIL SENTENCE
Yorkshire woman who blighted emergency services and threatened to jump off A19 bridge repeatedly is jailed
This is obviously a cry for help. Disgusting treatment for the poor girl. Instead of jailing her I think sectioning her would have been more appropriate to keep her safe and addressing and helping her with her problems. She has been badly let down by an unsympathetic judge.
Jayne Denton
She’s clearly got underlying mental health issues. Profit is worth more than people as usual. I hope she gets the support she deserves.
Stace Jayne
So, she is showing signs of mental health and is suicidal, and what does the law do? Throws her in jail. Is that really going to help her? Shame on the justice system.
Dawn Nora Bradley
Anyone with half a brain can see that this isn’t attention seeking... it’s a cry for help. She needs a hospital and a mental health team around her... not jail.

Litter Britain: rubbish strewn across parks shows once and for all that we simply can’t be trusted
Just take your rubbish home. They can’t provide bins for this lot. Take it home!
Christine Wiggins
Couldn’t agree more, the self entitled slovenly slobs are a disgrace and unfortunately the decent minority of teens and twenty-somethings all get tarred with the same brush.
Jonathan Grice
Respect for the environment and each other no longer exists. Disgusting.
Tanya Edward
Should have more bins around the parks but that’s no excuse.
Kyle Man Utd Chiverton
I used to think it was kids but it ain’t. We were taught as kids to not litter, seems like the younger generation didn’t.
Lorraine Walker
I would leave it there and when they came back again would make them think twice about rubbish.
Maureen Perry
I think there is something in the notion of the festival generation that think someone will be employed to clear up after them! After all that is what happens.
