IT WAS good to come away with the win on Monday.

Performance-wise we’ve got to look past that at times and just make sure we’re getting those wins. But I thought in bits first-half and certainly second-half, we dominated the ball and created some really good opportunities.

The start of both halves I thought were fantastic, getting the penalty so early on and then second-half, coming out and getting the early goal again.

The lads were raring to go and looking forward to putting on a good performance.

We’re quite strong at home and we’ve got to keep that run going. I think the competition for places, with lads coming back, is a massive boost for the squad.

Nobody’s a shoe-in for positions at the moment, there’s lads ready to jump in so you’ve got to perform, otherwise there’s somebody waiting in the wings to come and take that place.

I think that’s a massive positive for the club, as is Pete and Chris agreeing new two year contracts. It’s nice to have some stability, for players and the manager to know he’s got that time to focus now and create a really strong squad and really push towards the end of the season.

When you’ve got that uncertainty, it’s never nice. You can always feel that in the dressing room. It’s nice the club has rewarded them for their hard work because they’re forever working their socks off trying to push the club forward.

The job they’ve done is amazing - we got into the play-offs last year in their first season and we’re desperate to do the same, if not better, this time.

It’s only a positive, they’ve come in and really grasped what the club is all about

The players they’ve brought in have been fantastic, we’re constantly moving forward, which is what they want.

I’ve certainly bought into their methods and things they’ve brought to the club.
