Wild added: “We’ve got players coming back, we’ve got some really good options and we’re in a good place. Hopefully come five o’clock on Saturday we’re still in a good place. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, that’s the big thing now.”

When asked whether he will be making regular changes to his side over the next few games, Wild said: “That depends on the game, depends on how I see things. There’ll be peaks and troughs, there’ll be ups and downs, we’ve just got to roll with the punches.

“We have a chance to get to 50 points on Saturday and that’s got to be our only focus at the moment.”

Altrincham are 12th in the table, three points behind Town but having played four games more.

“Altrincham have really impressed me this year, every time I’ve come across them doing analysis I always think that they stay true to the way they play and they play some really good stuff, and they’ll cause us a real threat on Saturday and we’ve got to be ready for that,” said Wild. “It’s a tough, tough game and a tough place to go. We’re going to have to be tactically ready, physically ready and switched on to the numerous threats they’ve got.

“They’ve had an excellent season, they’ve got an excellent manager and I think it’s a real tough place to go on Saturday and try and get some points.”

Wild is hoping midfielder Luke Summerfield will be back in contention next week.

Summerfield has been a key player for Town this season but hasn’t played for The Shaymen since suffering a partial tear of his ACL against former club Wrexham in January.

“We’re hoping we’ll be somewhere near after this week, we just need to make sure we’re completely right with him,” Wild said.

“Hopefully by the end of this week we’ll be where we want to be.”

When asked if Summerfield would be available for Saturday’s trip to Altrincham, Wild said: “We’ll see, I’m not putting pressure on the physio or Luke, they both know when they’re right and when that is, then we’ll welcome him back.”

It is unclear whether Billy Chadwick will be available for the game after missing the win over Weymouth due to personal reasons.

On midfielder Martin Woods, who was an unused substitute in the win over Weymouth on Saturday, Wild said: “The back’s still sore so I said ‘if we need you, we’ll use you, if we don’t then we’ll keep you rested until we get you right’.”
