to which I would add - why did the council not take the more sensible option offered by the independent inspector ie to reduce the population/ employment calculation to meet the previous housing targets?
Northowram and Shelf are both seriously affected by this situation, yet the Labour candidate for the ward in the May election makes no mention at all of the Local Plan in his election leaflet, preferring to blame the Tory government for most of our problems, local and national. He says “it’s time for a change”.
Why not start with the Local Plan policy of the ruling party in Calderdale? supported by a law, the Act and Section will be quoted.
Parking on the pavement is not an offence.
Unless there is a local Traffic Regulation Order.
Driving on the pavement is an offence but needs to be witnessed by a police officer in order to prosecute.
It cannot be dealt with retrospectively or by the council.
Obstruction of the pavement is an offence but very subjective to (police enforcement). of the attack on Harry, his beak was already damaged by a previous attack.
I was at Shibden Park about a month ago and a woman there seemed to think it was highly amusing to let her terrier off the lead and watch him barking at Harry and him hissing back,
Fortunately I think the dog was too small to attack him properly but it wasn’t very nice.
The two swans were nest building when I visited three weeks ago and its upsetting to learn that there will now be no cygnets as I take pictures of the swans nearly every year.
I don’t know why people with dogs appear to have no concern as to the welfare of these lovely birds.
