Nursing home residents and staff in Overgate fundraiser

WORKERS AT Lee Mount Nursing Home are celebratin­g the 101st birthday of one of their residents and supporting Overgate Hospice at the same time.

Eve Brady will turn 101 on Monday, May 24 and Eve and the staff wanted to mark the occasion.

Manjinder (Boo) Dhiman, manager of the nursing home said: “We knew we wanted to celebrate Eve’s amazing birthday.

“We had a little chat and talked about doing something to give back to the community on this very special occasion.

The nursing staff and residents of the home are looking to complete 101 laps around Shroggs Park and will do this over six weeks as a collaborat­ive team effort.

Boo added; “Eve is really excited about the fundraiser and is so looking forward to how much money we can raise for such a good cause.

“We will be raising funds between April 12 until May 24, Eve’s birthday will be the last day for donations, we are sure that we will have a massive total

which will be an extra celebratio­n in itself!
