FIVE THINGS FOR YOUR WEEK...

-

STREAMING

Leverage: Redemption, IMDb TV/Amazon, streaming now: Sophie Devereaux, Parker,

Eliot Spencer and Alec Hardison have watched it become easier and sometimes legal for the rich to become richer and the powerful to crush anyone who gets in their way. They find new blood in Harry Wilson, a lawyer who is looking for redemption after realising he’s been sitting on the wrong side of the table for his entire career, and Breanna Casey, Hardison’s foster sister who has a knack for computers, robotics, and getting into trouble. Gina Bellman and Noah Wyle are among the cast. This is one of the first treats in store for us via IMDb TV – if it’s a sign of what’s in store, we can expect some top-class projects to head our way in the future.

SERIES

Casualty, BBC1, 9.30pm, Saturday: If you’re a fan of those fly-onthe-wall series whose cameras are perched on the shoulder of emergency service workers, giving you a front-row seat to real-life drama, you’ll love this special episode following the Holby paramedics. Teddy asks whether he and

Jan can be a team and, backed into a corner, Jan agrees, leaving Sah, left, and Iain to pair up. They get off to a poor start after Iain accidentally misgenders Sah, before being left shaken on their first job after finding a woman who has been dead for months. Iain encourages Sah to talk about the experience, but in the end they both dismiss it, and go to help an elderly man who has fallen out of bed and has already been waiting two hours.SHOWBIZ

DOCUMENTARY

Buddy Guy: The Blues Chase the Blues Away, Sky Arts, 9pm, Saturday: This superb documentary profiles how George ‘Buddy’ Guy went from a Louisiana sharecropper to one of the most influential guitarists of all time and the pioneer of Chicago’s fabled West Side sound.

Featuring previously unseen performances, as well as original interviews with Guy, Muddy Waters, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Willie Dixon, alongside thoughts from those Guy influenced, including

John Mayer and Carlos Santana, the film chronicles Guy’s rich career and lasting impact.

REALITY

Escape to the Chateau, C4, 8.00pm, Sunday: We’re back for the eighth visit to Dick and Angel Strawbridge’s 19th-century chateau, and winter has the place in its grip. After making snow angels, taking part in snowball fights and collecting the season’s first goose eggs, the duo turn their attention to the original coach house, now home to Angel’s parents

Jenni and Steve.

DRAMA

Ridley Road, BBC1, 9pm, Sunday: This stunning four-parter has had us all on the edge of our seats, but as the curtain goes up on this finale, will all the loose ends be tied up? As the clock ticks down, Vivien risks everything to destroy Colin Jordan and bring down the hateful NSM. However, what she doesn’t realise is that her cover may have been blown, and several NSM foot soldiers have become suspicious of Jack, placing them both in genuine danger. Meanwhile, Vivien’s mother Liza realises where her daughter has been and arrives in London to speak to Nancy, but she may already be too late.
