On your marks, get set, go for Poppy Appeal

-

The Royal British Legion has organised a series of five kilometre runs at locations across the country during October and November.

People can choose to run, jog or walk the course during the event open to all ages and abilities, including the family dog.

The charity says every step counts.

If you’d rather run at a time and place to suit you to take on the Poppy Run, you can choose your distance and location and the charity will still support you all the way.

It will keep in touch with tips and celebrate your achievements.

Organisers say you’ll be joining a community of runners who will “virtually” be there for you.
