Beauty firms are up for awards
TWO CALDERDALE beauty businesses are celebrating after being shortlisted in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards
Elland-based brow business, The Brow Bay, is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted in the categories ‘Best for Brows’ and ‘Best Business Branding’.
The business is owned by owned by 22-year-old Emily Rhodes who is thrilled by the news that the venture she set up during the coronavirus pandemic has made the shortlists.
“I set up The Brow Bay in the middle of the Covid pandemic navigating through subsequent lockdowns with no previous professional beauty experience, so to be recognised for these awards is amazing and truly testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve put into The Brow Bay over the past year and this is only the beginning,” Emily said.
The UK Hair and Beauty Awards celebrate the hair and beauty industry in an aim to support businesses both large and small, and expose all candidates to new opportunities via social media, no matter their financial and social status.

Beauty in Stainland, is also celebrating as she has been shortlisted for Beauty Therapist of the Year 2022 at the awards.
Emma said: “I am delighted to be accepted as a finalist for 2022.
“Lots of professionals entered last year in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland and I was proud to of placed fifth for beauty therapists of the year UK. I am here another year giving it my best. After a tough 18months for the beauty and hair industry. my main priority is focusing on clients wellbeing ,by providing a safe place for clients to come and off load and relax in a calming safe environment.
“During lockdowns I posted positive quotes on our local Stainland community site and delivered care packages at a safe distance to uplift and encourage others to remain positive and hopeful.”
