Rishworth School’s Glitter Ball went down a storm on Saturday night, as the Rishworth community partied the night away at their first social event of the year.
The Glitter Ball – which was hosted by The Arches at
Dean Clough – was a roaring success, with over 100 people attending including parents, staff, the school’s sixth form boarding community and Old Rishworthians.
Attendees enjoyed a superb three course meal as well as entertainment from a live DJ and percussion artist from Exceed Events, Glitter Ball dancers courtesy of Hustle Entertainment, plus a Magic Selfie Mirror from Carey Events and a Party Glitter Station from Laura Hartley Make Up Studio.
Rishworth School Head Anthony Wilkins said: “It was brilliant to see so many people getting back together after a difficult couple of years with COVID-19 affecting plans for nights like this. “A combination of great food, enthralling entertainment and a traditional warm Rishworth welcome are the ingredients for any successful night, and this was no different. Personally, I loved seeing all aspects of our community connecting together under one roof, from our staff and parents, to the sixth form community and former students of the school.
“I can’t wait for the next event where we hope that even more people will be joining the fun!” Guests also had the opportunity to purchase some incredibly rare items of memorabilia from See It Now Group, including signed items from football stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Kalvin Phillips.
Money raised from the silent auction on the night will be directly contributing towards the building of a new eco-classroom at Heathfield Prep.
