Rick, Sheryl and Noel now on list of acts coming to The Piece Hall
More names have been added to the growing list of acts coming to Halifax to play at The Piece Hall next summer.
Among them are Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds which are returning to the venue on Thursday, August 1.
Noel’s return will delight an army of fans and follows a sold-out show at The Piece Hall in 2022 when he played a set including a wide selection of Oasis classics as well as a cross section of material from the past dozen years of his highly successful career as a solo artist.
Punk band IDLES will be performing one of only four UK summer dates as part of a world tour.
The multi-award winning five-piece will be at The Piece Hall 2024 on Saturday, July 13.
Formed in Bristol in 2009, IDLES are made up of Joe Talbot (vocals), Mark Bowen (guitar), Lee Kiernan (guitar), Adam Devonshire (bass) and Jon Beavis (drums).
Chart-topping singer songwriter Sheryl Crow will headline the Halifax venue’s iconic open air courtyard stage on Thursday, June 13.
Crow’s global hits include
AllIWannaDo,StrongEnough, If It Makes You Happy and Everyday Is a Winding Road.
One of the UK’s favourite popstars, Rick Astley, who was a huge hit at Glastonbury and has been entertaining fans since the 1980s is also coming to town.
He will play in the openair courtyard on Sunday, July 7 and will be joined by special guests Lightning Seeds.
The talented musician is still winning over new fans, performing with Foo Fighters, Take That and Blossoms, and embracing the unending love that greets his era-defining smash ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.
Electro innovators Underworld – Rick Smith and Karl Hyde – are performing on Friday, June 28.
Having cemented their place in the 1990s underground techno scene, the group’s definitive breakthrough came in 1996 when their timeless anthem Born Slippy (Nuxx) became the soundtrack of a generation after it was featured in the film Trainspotting.
These acts will join Tom Jones, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Jess Glynne, Fatboy Slim, PJ Harvey, Tom Odell, Pixies, RichardAshcroft,McFly,Loyle Carner and Status Quo with many more to be announced.
