Win tickets to see smash hit movie

- Shirley Bartynek

To celebrate the release of Independence Day: Resurgence we have a further two pairs of tickets to give away for the movie.

Twenty years have passed since the original battle between alien and man.

Earth may have won, but the invaders aren’t completely vanquished.

Prior to Earth’s original victory, a distress signal was sent by the remaining alien forces before they were destroyed, while others were able to go into hiding in various locations across the planet.

Meanwhile, the United Nations have set up the Earth Space Defense, utilising technology that remained from the previous invasion, to create an early-warning system to protect against further deep space threats.

But, the aliens are determined. Having spent the last two decades preparing for a larger scale attack, Earth is about to face its biggest challenge yet.

Jeff Goldblum (The Grand Budapest Hotel) reprises his role as David Levinson, now Director of the Earth Space Defense, while Independence Day: Resurgence also welcomes Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2) to the franchise as Jake.

Rising star Joey King (Going in Style) steps into the role of Sam, whilst Maika Monroe (It Follows) plays the daughter of President Whitmore.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is answer this simple question: Who plays the role of David Levinson?

Send your entry, with your name, address, and daytime telephone number to Vue Cinema competition, Hamilton Advertiser, Press Buildings, Campbell Street, Hamilton, ML3 6AX. The deadline for entries is noon on Monday, July 4.

The lucky winner of last week’s competition was Cameron Marshall of Ferniegair and Paul Stewart of Hamilton.
