Crowds saddle up for show jumping event

Roundknowe farm hosts annual bash for hospice

Hundreds of people descended on Roundknowe Farm in Uddingston for their annual show jumping event in aid of Lanarkshir­e’s Kilbryde Hospice.

As well as showjumpin­g events and various competitio­ns, revellers also enjoyed a great day out for all the family with a variety of stalls.

There was also a raffle, bouncy castle, face painting, snack van and BBQ, which helped raise in the region of £1000 for the charity.

Cathkin Equestrian was also in attendance with a vast display of goods for horses, dogs and riders.

Anita Palmer of Roundknowe Farm said: “Our show jumping event, which also celebrated Roundknowe’s 25 years, was a huge success. On behalf of myself and family, we would like to take this opportunit­y to thank all staff past and present for their hard work and support over the years, helping to add to what has become a very successful 25 years of Roundknowe, with sights set on bigger and better things still to come.” The Kilbryde Hospice is a voluntary independen­t hospice which exists to provide specialist palliative care to patients with life-limiting progressiv­e illnesses, and to carers.
