Exhibition launch

Artistic duo will showcase latest work

- Kirsten Mcstay

The chairman of Spectrum Art Group Hillhouse is teaming up with another Hamilton artist to open an exhibition for the fourth time.

Jim Jordan and Lillias Douglas are collaborating together to showcase some of their work at the Hers ‘n’ His exhibition in the Riverside Room at New Lanark Visitor Centre on Friday, September 30.

The event will run until October 29 and will be open every day from 10am until 5pm.

The duo have been working hard for four months to create many different pieces to display at the exhibition in Lanark.

The Hers ‘n’ His exhibition is a free event and there will be around 70 pieces of art on sale to the public.

Jim Jordan is very excited about his fourth collaboration with Lillias. He said: “The exhibition has been well received by the public in previous years so Lillias and I are both looking forward to working together once again.

“I think we are a well known double act in the Lanarkshire area. Lillias has a background of arts and crafts and her style of work is just incredible.

“I have experience with exhibition work which is why we work well together and bring forward a lot of different styles, materials, colours and mixed media.

“There is something for everyone at the exhibition and we would love for everyone to come along and see it for themselves.”
