Bellshill take a point but ’Gow defeated

Bellshill Athletic drew 1-1 at home to Vale of Clyde, but Lesmahagow lost 2-0 at home to Rossvale in the Central League First Division on Saturday.

Vale opened the scoring at Rockburn Park around the hour-mark, with Kyle Robertson setting up the equaliser for Lee Nichol to drive home and clinch a point, although they might have had all three as Declan Brown rattled the crossbar late on.

Lesmahagow couldn’t make home advantage count at Craighead Park, and manager Robert Irving said:“that was our poorest performanc­e of the season.

Larkhall head for Greenock, while Wishaw tackle Central First Division leaders Cambuslang at Beltane.

Forth clash with Johnstone Burgh, and in the Central Second Division Royal Albert host Vale of Leven at Tilework Park while Carluke head for Gartcairn.
