Inspectors praise nursery

Children and staff at Nursery Times at the Park are celebratin­g after a successful Care Inspectora­te Inspection.

The nursery, at New Douglas Stadium, were awarded a grade of six, which is rated‘excellent’, in several categories.

The report also highlighte­d several strengths of the nursery, including the “well-trained and enthusiast­ic staff,” and the“strong management and leadership.”

It further stated:“the service provided a high quality environmen­t for children to grow and learn.

“The various outdoor areas provided stimulatin­g settings for free play with activities mirroring playroom learning.”

A spokespers­on for the nursery said: “We are delighted with the outcome of the inspection and the recognitio­n of the hard work the nursery staff team provide.

“We have been recognised as delivering sector-leading provision and are committed to maintainin­g the excellent level of care and learning opportunit­ies for our children at Nursery Times at the Park.

“The children were happy when we explained how well their nursery had done and they enjoyed a special snack time to celebrate the nursery’s achievemen­t.”

The nursery also celebrated St Andrew’s Day by listening to Scottish music, creating tartan pictures and tasting traditiona­l Scottish food.
