ALL THE ACTION FROM THE JUNIORS

Having clocked up three recent wins, Larkhall Thistle went into their Central First Division match at home to Greenock with some confidence, but were held by the struggling visitors.

For the first 10 minutes the Jags lived up to the pre-match promise and had much of the play, with Davie Thomson producing a great save from a penalty to keep the scoresheet blank at the break.

A half-time switch that saw Mark Canning and Ryan Innes replace Gary Mcstay and Hugh Kelly helped Thistle turn the game round in the second half, as Innes, Graham Gracie and Matty Clarke went close.

Thistle took the lead 10 minutes from time when Brian Jack netted from a Gracie ball, with William Mcclure equalising five minutes later.

Manager Duncan Sinclair said: “It was a good, hard game with some good football played. I thought we dominated the second half and their keeper produced three great saves.”

Wishaw beat Neilston 2-0 in their fourth successive win to secure fourth place.

Joe Mccafferty netted on the stroke of half-time, and Ross Mcgeachie secured the points with a second, two minutes from time.

Boss Chris Mcgroarty said: “The boys were excellent on Saturday and we got the result we deserved based on our performance.

“I’ve said a few times this season that we need to get the rub of the green, because we’ve outplayed opponents but taken nothing from the game.

“Now we’ve made it four wins in a row you can see the belief building again, but I’ve never doubted the players.”

Forth Wanderers drew 3-3 at home to Rossvale, with manager Jamie Mckenzie commenting: “We played well, but can’t afford to give away three penalties.”

Rossvale led 1-0 at the break, but Barry Mcgeechan equalised from the spot in 49 minutes, and ex-pollok striker Kevin Bradley fired Forth ahead in 59 minutes.

Vale equalised, then Willie Mclaren made it 3-2, but Vale snatched a last-minute equaliser.

Thorniewood United were 1-0 down at Vale of Clyde at half-time, but Chris Lennon equalised midway through the second half.
