minutes into stoppage time after Killie defender Karleigh Osborne had brought Grant Gillespie down in the box as he prepared to shoot.

Over the piece it was deserved win for the visitors, with keeper Freddie Woodman making a string of superb saves to keep his side in the game.

Kilmarnock had a fair bit of possession but didn’t do enough with it and didn’t really test keeper Gary Woods at any point.

The first half was largely forgettable, with Woodman saving well from Ali Crawford’s shot on the turn in nine minutes. a Ten minutes later Nathan Tyson intercepted a misplaced pass and sent Jordan Jones through but his low shot was easily saved by Woods. Woodman did well to catch a Crawford chip to deny Eamonn Brophy and the young striker had another chance just before the interval but shot over from just inside the box. Killie’s best chance came in 50 minutes when Greg Taylor’s cross from the left was headed by Cal Taylor but it was straight at Woods. Accies turned the screw at that point and when Dougie Imrie sent Danny Redmond down the left, his cross Hamilton last got past the Scottish Cup fourth round in season 2012-13, when they lost to Falkirk in the quarter-finals. They beat Dunfermline 2-0 at East End Parkin the fifth round that season. was glanced just over by the head of Alex D’acol in 54 minutes.

Massimo Donati sent Crawford through in 75 minutes but his low shot was well saved by Woodman who did well to deny another low effort by the midfielder shortly after.

Woodman held Crawford’s rising shot three minutes later and a low effort following a good Accies move 60 seconds after that.

The on-loan Newcastle keeper produced a stunning finger-tip save to stop Crawford’s dipping shot from going in following good set-up play by Imrie and Louis Longridge in 86 minutes.

However, Osborne made a clumsy lunge on Gillespie as he prepared to shoot, with referee Crawford Allan immediately pointing to the spot.

Bingham stepped up to drill the penalty into the bottom-right corner.
