- Staff reporter

A star-studded line-up will help raise money for the Les Hoey’s MBE Dreammaker Foundation next week.

The event, at Dalziel Park on Friday, March 10, will see former Celtic footballer John Hartson and magician Rodd Hogg appear at the fundraiser hosted by sports personality Peter Martin.

Peter Martin, known for hosting Peter and Roughie’s football show on STV Glasgow, as well as presenting a radio show with the former Scotland goalkeeper, will oversee the hilarity.

The charity help make dreams come true for sick children.

Les Hoey said: “I can’t wait for the night, I think it’ll be great if last year’s is anything to go by.

“Hopefully, we can all have a laugh and raise a lot of money for charity thanks to these sporting stars.”

Rodd Hogg is one of Ireland’s most sought after and exciting professional magicians.

He specialises in close-up magic and is able to borrow your coins, your rings or even your cards and perform truly amazing magic right in front of your eyes.

He promises to make the event one that is talked about for years to come.

Event organiser Patrick Crawley added: “It’s definitely going to be an entertaining night. Magician Rodd is amazing. I know everyone is going to be amazed at his tricks.

“I can’t wait to watch him in action.

“The speakers are brilliant too and they’ll make it a great night and keep everyone laughing.”

Tickets cost £45 and are available from Patrick Crawley by phoning 07857 888917 and includes a two-course meal and entertainment.
