Say Hello to superstar Adele’s stunning look
Awards season is in full swing and there have been enough red carpets rolled out recently to cover the floors of a palace.
The Oscars, the Golden Globes, The Brits, The Grammys ... the great and the good of the movie and music industry have been out in glamorous force and we’ve loved every fabulous moment of it ... sitting comfortably on our sofas!
There have been some fantastic looks this season but there are always a few stand-outs who really shine - which isn’t always easy in the high wattage company of the world’s mega stars.
Singing superstar Adele can do no wrong in front of a microphone it seems and scooped no less than FIVE Grammys.
And as her music career has skyrocketed so has her style and the girl from Tottenham has morphed into a real stunner.
Her image has certainly changed over the years and when it comes to her make up, she now sports a chic, polished look.
Her face is always flawless and her look is one I get asked for over and over again.
So here is a step-by-step guide to achieving Adele’s stunning face.
Apply your base and concealer to give a flawless glowing coverage.
The Real Techniques expert face brush is ideal for the job.
I can’t rate their brushes highly enough. They give a fuller coverage but with a completely even distribution all over the face.
Set your face with powder. My favourite is Mac’s mineralise skin finish as it leaves a gorgeous soft focus look.
Next, brush on a peach tone blush to add warmth to the skin without giving a bronzed look.
No bronzer for this look - Adele completely embraces her fair complexion which I love.
Apply a neutral base to the entire eye area.
Then deepen the crease with a soft warm brown, this really enhances the colour of her stunning eyes.
And now here’s the show-stopper for her look - liquid liner!
Adele’s look is all about the liquid liner flick which is applied to perfection and has become a bit of a trademark for her look.
I like to use Illamasqua’s black gel liner - it’s amazing.
Apply using a fine brush and work along the lash line.
To perfect the flick, try marking out the line first using a light coloured eye pencil then trace it over the top.
Work back on yourself to meet the line you have drawn, but aiming higher to get the feline flick.
Lots of lashes complete this look for the eyes.
Paint your lips with a soft peachy sheen.
