Rail exciting on train trip
Roadshows will be visiting train stations and leisure centres to give people tips about how they can change their daily travel habits to include more walking, cycling or public transport.
The Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership are encouraging residents to get out and explore the heritage of the area.
The team will be at Merryton train station on Monday, March 27, from 7am to 9am; Larkhall train station on Tuesday, March 28, from 7am to 9am; Carluke Health Centre on Tuesday, March 28, from 10am to 1pm; and Carluke train station on Wednesday, March 29, from 7am to 9am.
Kirsten Robb, CAVLP development officer, said: “We encourage as many people as possible to get along to the roadshows for active travel inspiration in their local communities.”
People will be able to access personalised travel advice on the opportunities that exist to walk, cycle, use public transport, or share a lift for their regular journeys, including to work. Information provided will include new walking and cycling maps, active travel guides and a Clyde and Avon Valley goodie bag highlighting what to see and where to go.
