When I say Hamilton... you say G!

X-factor star on way

- Shirley Bartynek

X Factor star Honey G will perform in Hamilton this summer.

The star of the hit ITV show will take to the stage at Hamilton Park Racecourse on Saturday, July 15, as part of the Sunday Mail Highland Show Racenight.

And fellow X Factor stars Reggie ‘N’ Bollie and Ryan Lawrie will also take to the stage alongside tribute band Little Mix Magic.

Families can enjoy Highland Show activities, with themed ‘zones’ to keep the fun going all day.

Highlights will include a petting zoo, pony rides, bungee trampolines and a host of fun family games, including a coconut shy, hoopla and beat the goalie.

Clydesdale Horses and the Mordor Gun Dogs will be in attendance, alongside falconry, sheep and duck herding, wood carving, an assault course and a display of farming vehicles.

Following the live racing action and entertainment, there will be a DJ set from Capital FM.

Vivien Currie, chief executive at Hamilton Park, said: “After the massive success of our first Highland Show Racenight last year, we wanted to find a way of building upon this and making it even more appealing this year.

“That’s why, as well as transforming the racecourse for another family extravaganza, we’ve also announced four fantastic acts to headline the event.

“We’ve truly created a day out with the X factor for all the family to enjoy, and with free admission and activities for all under-18s again this year, it’s set to be one of the highlights of the Hamilton Park Racecourse calendar.”

The Sunday Mail Highland Show Racenight is part of the Super Saturday series. A first in UK racing, it offers racegoers an all-day experience with entertainment from noon followed by evening racing.

Tickets are on sale now at £25 at www.hamilton-park. co.uk during the advance booking period or £30 on the day.

Gates open at noon. Under-18s get in free and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Two-for-one Super Saturday fixture tickets are also available, offering three events for £60 when booked online in advance.

The new season kicks off on Sunday, May 7, with the Totepool Family Raceday. The first evening fixture of the season on Friday, May 19, is the Braveheart Night with Big Vern ‘N’ The Shootahs.
