All local people are welcome to attend at 7.30pm in the Chapelton Community Hall. Pub Quiz Six teams are doing battle for the prestigious Euan Mcewan Trophy. At half-time, as five teams’ papers were being marked, a latecomer swept in and was asked all the questions by Julie Anne, and much to the others’ chagrin topped the leaderboard on 32 points! Buenos Aires Neighbourhood Watch were in the lead, followed by DTS and Infamous 4 then Bar Lizards, Wright Stuff and finally the Young Mcmorrins – although they had their own latecomer, hopefully to save their second half. At the end of four hard-fought rounds and Young Mcmorrins fortunes are unchanged by their white knight in sixth place, joint fifth are DTS and Wright Stuff, on 53 points. A mini slump by Buenos Aires Neighbourhood Watch saw them on 58 points, blaming far too much time to actually think about the answers. Top teams once again, unable to be separated and both on 61 points sharing the honours, are Infamous 4 and Bar Lizards. Perhaps a tie-breaker next week?
