Why not try it out yourself...

- Andy Mcgilvray

An open day to allow the public to try out the W3ST pitch for themselves will take place at Strathaven Rugby Club on Saturday.

The open day at the Whiteshawgate 3G Sports Trust facility takes place from 12pm until 2pm, and W3ST officials hope as many people as possible will go along to check out the new turf, speak to football and rugby club members, and maybe take a penalty or conversion while they’re there.

Grant Law from W3ST said: “The pitch complete and we are delighted with it.

“Now we want to show it off to the people of Strathaven who have supported us in our efforts to get to this stage.

“We can’t wait to see as many locals as possible on Saturday and let them see for themselves what a great facility this will be for the whole community, and for years to come.

“Hopefully this open day will encourage even more people to get involved, and to come along on match days to support their town’s rugby and football clubs. “It really is exciting times for sport in Strathaven.” For more information contact info@w3st.org. is now
