Railway station’s twonew shelters

Rail chiefs are to replace two shelters at Hamilton stations.

Hamilton Central and Hamilton West (Platform 2) will receive the replacement shelters.

The Scotrail Alliance’s customer experience director, Jacqueline Taggart, said: “Scotland’s weather is unpredictable. This week we’ve gone from sunny conditions to snow in the space of a few hours.

“We want to provide robust shelters for people to use, especially at stations where there’s no protection from station buildings for customers waiting for their trains.

“This programme of renewals and refurbishments is part of our commitment to providing good facilities around stations to make our customers’ experiences of travelling with us as good as it can be.”
