Popular kids’ club plans for summer

-

A kids’ club was held in Hillhouse over the school holidays and was so successful that organisers have started to make plans for the rest of the year.

The community event was run by Harvest Christian Fellowship, and they hosted a variety of different activities for the children to enjoy when they were off school.

Children’s pastor Sammy Brown said: “Our aim is to create a safe, fun-filled environment for kids from primary one to seven.

“Up until our Easter holiday club we only opened to children in primary three to seven, but after the great success of our holiday club we have decided as a kids’ team that we will open for primary one to seven.”

They also run a kids’ club run every Monday during term-time from 7pm until 8.30pm at Hillhouse Community Centre. It is free and features lots of different activities such as team games, face painting, nail painting, story telling, music and fun games.

Sammy said that the group have lots of plans for the rest of the year, and she added: “We are planning a summer kids’ week at the moment, and we will have BBQS and fun days throughout the summer.”
