It all adds up for Braidhurst pupils

-

The Braidhurst High pupils who make up the school’s credit union took part in North Lanarkshire’s Young Enterprise Competition.

Calling themselves Unity Enterprise, they started the group at the beginning of the school year.

Working in two teams –marketing and operations – they work very hard to run an efficient service.

The marketing team produced flyers, posters, leaflets and ran presentations to promote their business, while the operations team took control of the finances.

Twitter was used to update pupils and parents with activities, and booklets and receipts were handed out to anyone who joined.

Unity Enterprise made it to the final at the Hilton in Bellshill.

The organisers held a dinner for every pupil who participated, before which the pupils had to set up a trade stand where they would be judged and marked.

Every team got interviewed and had to make a presentation.

A variety of awards were offered and Unity Enterprise were fortunate enough to win the‘overall Best Trade Stand Award’.
