Denies assault with phone

-

An Uddingston woman has denied biting her partner on the body and hitting him on the head with a mobile phone.

Carol-anne Willison, of Citrus Crescent, is alleged to have attacked Andrew Marshall in Citrus Crescent last Saturday by hitting him on the head with a mobile phone, slapping him on the head, repeatedly attempting to strike him with her hands, scratching him on the body and biting him on the body.

Thirty-four-year-old Willison is also accused of hitting vehicles in Citrus Crescent on April 22 with a mobile phone. She is said to have acted in an aggressive manner and shouted and swore at Mr Marshall – and to have uttered threats and repeatedly struck vehicles with a mobile phone.

She pleaded not guilty to charges of assault to injury and behaving in a threatening and abusive manner when she appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.

Sheriff Thomas Millar set the trial for June 29 with an intermediate diet of June 1. Bail was granted meantime.
