Would you like to have more bank holidays?

This week Jeremy Corbyn announced that Labour will give workers four new bank holidays if the party wins the general election. Our reporter Kirsten Mcstay went into the town centre to ask the people of Hamilton their thoughts on this. Pamela Moffat (21) from Motherwell said:“i suppose extra holidays would be nice, but I think it’s just tactical. People who don’t know much about politics might be encouraged to vote for them purely on this basis. Whether it even happens is also another story!” Paul Marshall (52) from Blantyre said: “It is a good idea for more holidays but I guess it will attract people who are not into politics. I just wish they would propose something more worthwhile like saving local town centres.” Katie Groome (40) from Wishaw said:“i think we get enough bank holidays, to be honest. It is just clutching on to straws trying to get votes for the wrong reasons.” Phil Lappin (67) from Hamilton said:“i think we get enough bank holidays. He won’t be getting my vote anyway!”
