Adele to make ring return after year of ear injury hell

-

Larkhall boxer Adele Craw feared her fledgling career was over before it could take off a year ago – but is ready to get back into the ring.

The 32-year-old suffered an ear injury a year ago that affected her balance and was a huge disruption to her life. But after some soulsearching she got back to sparring and on Saturday will take on Poland’s Natalia Josjo in Forsyth’s ABC’S annual show at the Ballerup Hall in East Kilbride.

Adele said:“i’m confident but it’s my first fight back.

“I had a bad ear injury after the Scottish Open and have had a year out but I’m back in good shape and sparring with high-quality girls.

“So I’m back on my feet, I’m fit and ready again.

“It was a horrible thing – I couldn’t drive or walk, I couldn’t go to my work and I couldn’t stand up – it affected everything.

“I didn’t think I was going to box again and I was going to go into coaching but then I decided to immerse myself into it and see what happens.

I feel good, so hopefully it goes well.”
