Alistair Prentice was presented with his honorary life member’s badge by retiring president Chris Hyslop. Chris paid tribute to the huge amount of help he had during his presidential year. The secretary and treasurer submitted their reports, with membership being at a healthy 58 members and the club’s finances being in such a state that the annual subscription was unchanged at £8. Chris presented the club’s chain of office to incoming president Douglas Duncan, who presented Chris with a past president’s tie and lapel pin. Following some general discussion about the possible reasons for diminished attendance at club events, the topic was remitted to the committee for further consideration. The club is now closed for the summer recess, reopening in early October.
