Larky Mashers seek calendar sponsors
The organisers behind a popular Larkhall-based Facebook page are still on the look out for help with next year’s charity calendar.
The Two Larky Mashers from High Avon Street are looking for sponsorship to help them on their way to producing their 2018 calendar.
Thomson Bruce, creator of the site, explained:“thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the community of Larkhall, as well as the support of our retailers, we were able to donate £3080 to our four local charities from our 2017 calendar.
“We are now working on plans for our 2018 calendar and we would love to be able to build on this year and raise even more for our charities next year.”
Last year the team behind the Facebook page attracted eight sponsors, each donating £100, and this helped significantly in being able to increase what they could give to charity from the 2016 figure of £1700.
Thomson added:“our aim is to print 600 calendars by mid-september and have them in the shops earlier. And that is where you, our local businesses, come in.
“What can our sponsors expect for their donation?
“The name of the individual, business or company along with their logo will be promoted throughout the calendar.
“The name of the individual, business or company along with their logo appearing on our sponsors page which will be part of the calendar.
“The name of the individual, business or company being announced on the Larky Mashers page.
“An invite to our Presentation Night to the four charities at the end of February 2018 and be entertained with music from local musicians, Touchwood and friends.
“Any pledges made will not have to be collected until our calendars are ready to print, hopefully around September 2017.
“Our first planning meeting for the 2018 calendar will be held in a fortnight’s time.”
