Michael Devlin says Hamilton’s survival fate is still in their own hands despite Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Kilmarnock.
The skipper says they now have four huge games looming, with a visit to basement side Inverness on Saturday.
A win over Richie Foran’s team will ensure Hamilton can’t be automatically relegated, then it’s a case of avoiding the play-off slot – and Devlin says three points in the Highlands is their immediate target.
Strikes by Conor Sammon and Jordan Jones inside the first 24 minutes gave Killie a vital win and Devlin said: “We can’t dwell on things too much.
“Before Saturday there were five massive games between now and the end of the season, it was in our hands and it still is. If we win four out of the last four we’ll stay in the Premiership, it’s pretty simple.
“We’re pretty disappointed we didn’t win the game and we were disappointed with elements of our game, particularly the way we defended, but we cant dwell on it too much.
“It’s too big an end to the season for us, so we need to pick ourselves up and really look forward to the next game, which is against Inverness up there.
“There’s still all to play for, nobody is detached. Equally you could finish in the play-offs, bottom of the league, or you could still finish seventh.
“That’s the reality, that’s where we’re at, and why nobody can get too up or too down. Nobody got too up when we beat Dundee 2-0 at Dens Park and nobody will
