Hundreds of pupils enjoy a fun day out

-

Around 600 secondyear pupils from across Lanarkshire enjoyed fun in the sun as they descended on M&D’S theme park for a rewarding day out.

They were there as part of the Celebrating Success programme that runs in schools, and rewards good behaviour throughout the year.

M&D’S supports the initiative by offering free wristbands to mark good behaviour, attendance and timekeeping amongst second-year students.

Jensen Taylor Connelly, director of M&D’S, said: “We are committed to supporting children and families and helping to reward good behaviour.

“There are very few venues in the country that can host so many pupils at once to recognise their hard work and effort so we were delighted to be a part of it. The day had a fantastic atmosphere and offered the opportunity for students to meet up and enjoy all that M&D’S has to offer.”

Pupils made the best of the great weather, as it was one of the nicest days of the year so far.

They enjoyed rides including the Big Wheel, Dodgems and the Big Apple and also took the opportunity to take a spin on Musik Express, a new ride which opened this season.
