Cash campaign at St Joseph’s
The children from St Joseph’s Primary and Nursery Class proudly presented cheques to representatives from charities.
They collected the money by doing a variety of fun activities during Lent.
A onesie day, a sponsored salsathon and a talent show were just some of the events organised by the children to raise the funds.
The Lent fundraising campaign is a long-standing tradition at the school and this year the total collected was more than £2600 in just over four weeks.
The charities which benefited were St Andrew’s Hospice, Let the Children Live, Robyn House, SCIAF and Missio.
Our picture shows headteacher Mrs Ross (third left) and pupils resenting cheques to Siobhan Wright, Samantha Reilly, George Mcaleenan, Rev Peter Walters, Lyndsey Morrison and Anne Mccrossan.
