Club helps injured dad

Blantyre Miners’ Welfare will host a charity day in aid of a young dad who was attacked and left for dead with life-changing injuries.

The Welfare hope all funds raised on the day will improve the quality of David Black’s life through essential therapies and equipment.

David was found barely alive in a coma five days after the attack.

He had a traumatic brain injury but is now back home with a loving family.

This event will campaign on the lack of support for brain injury and will help to fund private physiotherapy and safety equipment that is not available via the NHS.
