East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow MP Lisa Cameron played her part in welcoming the Care Home Open Day on June 16.

Dr Cameron visited various care homes throughout the constituency including Canderavon House Care, Stonehouse.

She said:“i was encouraged by all the care homes connecting with their local communities and the rapport between nurseries, primary schools and the care homes was clear for all to witness.

“The theme this year was‘friendship’ and it was fantastic to see staff making, such a special effort to get involved.”
