Clyde Valley defeated

-

Clyde Valley Blackhawks American Football Club fell to a narrow defeat against Glasgow Tigers on Sunday at Wishaw Sports Centre.

Tigers tried their luck with an early field goal attempt, and Blackhawks were offtarget with two of their own.

The Glasgow side broke the deadlock in the second quarter when Maurice Adams barrelled over from half a yard out for six points. Josh Polson took the handoff for the extra two points, but was stopped by a swarming Blackhawks defence.

In the second half a Tigers defender picked off a wayward pass and carried it to the endzone for a pick six to bring the score to 12-0.

Blackhawks returned the favour when Sean Fallon snatched a ball that had bounced off the Tigers’ WR for a Clyde Valley pick six. The Glasgow defence burst through the line on the extra point kick and blocked the attempt.

There was no further scoring by either side.
