Harvest Christian Fellowship

We meet every Sunday, 10.30am at Hillhouse/earnock Community Centre. This Sunday, the service will be led by Pastor Willie Watt.

The service will be followed by refreshmen­ts and all are welcome.

On Saturday, June 24, the ladies are off to Balloch for a walk and picnic.

Monday Club and Monday Night Live will now take a break for the summer.

St John The Baptist Church, Uddingston

Rev Fr Towey thanks the staff of St John The Baptist Primary for all their help during the last year, especially those teachers involved in preparing the children to receive the Sacraments, and prays the Lord will reward them all for their commitment to help spread a deeper knowledge and love of God to our children. He wishes all the children and their families a happy, safe summer holiday.

We wish a safe journey to the pilgrims from our parish who head off on Wednesday, June 28, to Medjugorje and pray they have a very blessed pilgrimage. We ask them to remember us all in their prayers to our Blessed Mother and Her Beloved Son.

On Monday the Padre Pio Prayer Group meet after the 9.30am mass. The SVDP meet at 6.30pm on Tuesday. On Wednesdays a divine mercy hour begins at 7pm in the oratory and a prayer and praise group meet from 8pm-9pm. The prayer garden is open Mondays to Saturdays, 10am-7pm. Church cleaning is on Friday mornings after mass if anyone would like to help.

Sunday Masses: Vigil 4.30pm, 10am, noon, 6pm. Weekday mass: 9.30am daily. Confession­s: Saturday: 9am-9.25am and after vigil mass.

Hamilton Baptist Church

The service at 10.45 on Sunday will be the Sunday School prizegivin­g and all friends and families will be welcome. After the morning service, two members of the congregati­on will be available to pray with anyone feeling the need of prayer.

A light lunch will be served in the halls after the morning service and everyone is encouraged to join in this time of informal fellowship. The evening service at 6.30pm will be a youth-focused SOUL service and will be led by Jonathan Davie from Stirling. The annual golf outing will be held on Saturday, August 26, at Kinross. Hamilton Old Parish Church

On Saturday, June 24, we look forward to viewing the Passion Play DVD. Viewings are at 10.30am and 6.30pm in the north hall. Our Sunday family service is at 9.30am in the north hall with morning worship at 10.45am in the church. Both services will be led by Reverend Ross Blackman. Enjoy fellowship over a tea or coffee in the halls following morning worship.

On Monday our badminton club meet at 7pm in the north hall and Tuesday sees our banner group meeting at 7.30pm in the Pillar Hall. Find us on Facebook.

Blantyre Livingston­e Memorial Parish Church

Sunday morning service will commence at 11.30am, when Reverend Murdo Macdonald will lead the praise. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Tea and coffee will be served in the large hall following the service. Please feel free to go through and enjoy a cup before travelling home. You will be made most welcome.

David Livingston­e Memorial Primary School assembly will be held in Livingston­e Memorial Church on Monday, June 26, at 9.45am. Family and friends will be made most welcome.

St Machan’s Parish Church

Worship on Sunday, June 25, starts at 11am and will be led by Rev Alastair Mckillop. The Praise Band will lead our singing. A creche is available for babies and children up to three years and this runs from 10.45am. The Sunday Fun Club will be in church for their prizegivin­g. Come and join us, you will be made most welcome.

The St Machan’s Walking Group will meet on Tuesday, June 27, at 10.30am behind the church in Marshall Street.

Blantyre Congregati­onal Church

This morning (Thursday, June 22), our quiet time service begins at 10am. This will be a time of fellowship, as we end our current morning services until after the holidays. On Saturday morning our Sunday School, The Ark, are meeting at our church for 9.45am and are then heading off to the Sea Life Centre at Loch Lomond. On the same day, our Men’s Fellowship meet at 9.30am for their trip to Roslyn Chapel. On Sunday, June 25, our all-age service begins at 11am and will be led by Rev Malcolm Anderson and the children of The Ark, during which we will celebrate the achievemen­ts of our Sunday School through our prizegivin­g ceremony. After the service our church will be holding a BBQ in the church grounds, weather permitting. Later on in the evening, group three from our church are on duty at The Hamilton Churches Drop In Centre. On Tuesday, June 27, our singing group The Voice meet for their social night within the church. If you require the services of our minister, Rev Anderson can be contacted on 427209.

Hamilton United Reformed Church

On Sunday, June 25, we will be led in worship by Reverend Gordon W. Smith, retired minister of the United Reformed Church.

The service will begin at 11.30am and be followed by refreshmen­ts served in the hall.

A warm welcome is extended to all. The elders will next meet on Wednesday, June 28, at 7.30pm.

Dalserf Church

Prayer Group in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf on Sundays from 11.10am. Sunday worship on June 25 in Dalserf is at 11.30am, conducted by the Reverend John Stevenson.

Tea and coffee with a wide choice of our famous home baking continues in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf Village noon-4pm. Come along and enjoy a time of good hospitalit­y and friendly fellowship. A summer concert will be held on Tuesday, July 4, at 7.30 in Dalserf Church featuring the Cantilena String Ensemble directed by Angus Ramsay and Scott Mitchell and the Newlife Singers led by Philip Fox. Proceeds will go to help the Islay Music Festival.

Gilmour and Whitehill Parish Church

This Sunday, June 25, we look forward to welcoming Reverend Alastair Lusk who will conduct our service. We also look forward to welcoming Eleanor Mackenzie who will lead our praise. We meet, as usual, at 10am and everyone is assured of a warm welcome. Tea and coffee are served after the service, which gives time to catch up with each other.

During July, united services will be held in our sister church, Hamilton West, at 10.45am. As an expression of welcome after the service on Sunday, July 2, tea/coffee and cakes will be served.

Our monthly visit with the residents of Aberglen Care Home will take place on Sunday, June 25, at 2pm when our outreach team will lead an informal service of worship.

The coffee lounge will be closed during July, which gives our voluntary helpers a very well-earned break.

Hamilton South Parish Church

Reverend Donald Lawrie will conduct the service on Sunday at 11.15am. The Sunday School will meet during the service. This will be the Sunday School’s last week for this session, although the Summer Sunday School for primary school age will start the following week.

After the service the fundraisin­g team have arranged a sponsored walk and barbecue at Chatelhera­ult Country Park and it is hoped this will be well supported by the members of the congregati­on. If you’re not fit to walk very far then just come along and enjoy the barbecue and jollificat­ion afterwards.

If anyone hasn’t picked up a sponsor sheet yet, please see Joanne. Although the organisati­ons are in recess during the school holidays, the prayer group still meet on Monday evenings at 6.30pm, and the Wednesday Fellowship is still meeting at 9.30am, followed by the coffee shop at 10am, after which, the nearly new sale is still in operation from 11.30am until 2pm.

The stock keeps getting added to and you don’t want to miss out on anything, so drop in and have a look. You certainly won’t be disappoint­ed, and the prices are great.

Quarter Parish Church

On Sunday our morning worship will be conducted by Rev Donald Lawrie at 9.45am. Please come along and join us in our worship.

St John’s Church Hamilton

The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated at St John’s Church, Hamilton, on Sunday, June 25, at 10.45am, 3pm and 6.30pm. All services will be led by Rev Joanne Hood and all will be made most welcome. The evening service will be a Summer Songs of Praise.

It was a Children’s Ministry Service on Sunday, June 18, when children of the Sunday Blast were promoted from one section to the next. The football club presentati­ons also took place when Caleb and Toby received prizes for being players of the year. Jack Lamont received the cup for best attendance at the football and Sunday Blast.

The midweek service on Thursday, June 22, will be held at noon in the church. This will be an end-of-session Songs of Praise Service, followed by tea, coffee and cake in fellowship. Please come along and invite a friend.

Please accept an invitation to the 11th AGM of Hyzone at 7.30pm in the centre.

Summer worship times begin on Sunday, July 2, at 10.30am. Sundown service at 9pm. These times will continue during July and August. The centre will close on Saturday, June 24, for the summer and will re-open mid August.
