Transit, were deliberately set on fire in Honeycomb Place in Netherburn.

In a similar incident around 2.30am on Thursday, July 6, another BMW vehicle was set on fire in Overton Road Netherburn.

Constable Thomson, who has been conducting enquiries into the fires, is appealing for anyone with information to contact her at Larkhall Police office.

I am also looking for your assistance following a incident in Saffronhall Gardens Hamilton.

About 10.30pm on July 11, a group of males were causing a disturbance and damage to the close door of the flats, before making off in a grey Audi car.

One of the males is described as 5’10” tall, medium build with a navy blue hoody. Another one was described as black gloves and black jogging trousers.

If you observed these males, or the vehicle, please contact Hamilton Police office.

Finally, fly-tipping is something which causes significant community concerns in areas where it is prevalent. We do not receive a lot of calls to the police about it, but the local authority do and they take the lead on environmental matter. However, ‘fly-tipping’ is a criminal offence and we will shortly be working in partnership with other agencies to best target known hot-spots. If you are involved in fly-tipping, now would be a particularly good time to stop. I would encourage anyone with any information about those involved to contact police, or South Lanarkshire Council, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

If you have any information on any of the crimes previously detailed please contact the police using 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
