Hamilton’s Blameless charity have paid tribute to “our Angel” after one of their workers was tragically killed in a road crash.

Angela Bordon passed away following the incident on the A704 West Calder to Forth Road, near Longford, last Tuesday morning (July 4). Police Scotland say she died at the scene.

The 48-year-old was travelling eastbound in her black Citroen C1 when she was involved in a collision with an orange Mini Cooper travelling westbound around 10.35pm.

The 54-year-old female driver of the Mini sustained minor injuries and was taken to Wishaw General Hospital.

Angela’s sons, Daniel Mcnair (29) and Stephen Smith (21), have set up a Crowdfunding page to raise funds to help bury their mum.

A statement released by Angela’s family through Police Scotland said: “Angela healed and helped everyone she could and will be sorely missed by many.”

Anglea listed herself on Facebook as a NLP Master practitioner Reiki Master Teacher Advanced Holistic Healing & Life Coach.

She worked with the Blameless charity, based at Hamilton Accies, and the Little Whispers Sanctuary in West Calder.

A post on the Blameless Facebook page reads: “The Blameless charity would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of the late Angela Bordon.

“Angela has been a committed and integral part of the Blameless team for a number of years and her unselfish acts of love and kindness to those less fortunate will live on in many hearts and memories forever. God has reclaimed our Angel.”

Hamilton Accies Community Outreach posted: “Hamilton Accies Community Outreach would like to pass on our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Angela Bordon.

“Her great work with the most vulnerable in our community will live in the mind and memories of all those she selflessly helped. The world is a sadder place without her.”

A spokesperson for Little Whispers Sanctuary said: “In memory of our loving friend, Angela Bordon. Angela was a truly special soul with a heart of gold who gave joy and love to everyone she met.

“Those of you who had the pleasure of meeting Angela will be aware she is young Stephen’s mum. Please join us in sending love and strength to him and his family at this difficult time. She will be greatly missed by all.”

Police Scotland has urged anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash to call the Road Policing Unit via 101, quoting incident 1014 of July 4.
