Fans love Evie’s make-up tutorial
A nursery kid has turned into an overnight internet sensation after a video of her showing a make-up tutorial has become a huge hit online.
Five-year-old Evie Mitchell loves watching make-up videos on Youtube and when she decided to create her own, she begged her mum to share it with her Facebook friends.
Stephanie Menzies, from Bellshill, posted the video on her social media page and wrote: “Evie has been desperate for me to share this with everyone. It’s her first make-up tutorial so she said everyone has to like, comment and subscribe to her videos.”
Since going online on Saturday, the video has had almost 2000 views.
Stephanie’s Facebook friends have been amazed by the pre-schooler’s talents. One said: “She’s far too cute!”
Another commented: “Stephanie, she melts my heart! So, so cute and so good at her make-up, not even a bit out of place!”
While another wrote: “She is better than me at my make-up!”
Speaking with the Advertiser, Evie’s proud mum explained that her daughter’s dream is to become a make-up artist.
She said: “When you ask her what she wants to be when she’s older she always says she’s going to move to America to be a make-up artist because that’s her dream job.
“She definitely knows what she wants. I think she will make it as a make-up artist when she’s older, she’s so talented.
“She is such a girly girl, literally can’t walk up to Tesco without her applying her lipgloss first. Every time she has been given pocket money I ask her what she would like to get and it’s always make-up.”
She laughs: “But she does say if being a make-up artist doesn’t work out then she’s going to be a farmer.”
Evie watches videos on Youtube and was continuously asking her mum to let her post one online. Stephanie said: “She watches a lot of girls from America her age on the Youtube kids app doing make-up tutorials and she’s just picked up the American accent from there. It’s really funny.
“Evie doesn’t speak American until you hand her a bit of make-up or sit her in front of a mirror, she literally just turns the accent on and off it’s amazing how she does it.”
Stephanie also said that Evie has picked up a lot of different skills from watching Youtube.
She said: “She is also amazing at drawing, she watches tutorials on Youtube on how to draw her favourite princesses. Her drawings are amazing for her age.
“People get a lot of criticism for letting their children sit on Youtube but if your child is supervised I think it’s a great thing. Evie has learned so much from it. I’m so proud of her – she is my little star.”
