Couple recreate classic dance from Beauty and the Beast
A Motherwell bride and groom stunned their guests by recreating the ‘Tale as Old as Time’ dance from Beauty and the Beast.
Amy Gallacher (20) is obsessed with Disney so when her boyfriend Jordan (23) proposed to her three years ago they started planning a magical surprise for their big day.
The couple decided to have their tables named after Disney couples and also had the enchanted rose from the Beauty and the Beast movie next to their cake.
And during the planning process, a member of the groom’s family suggested they do the famous dance for their guests at the Bothwell Bridge Hotel.
Amy said: “I have been Disney fan ever since I was little girl.
“Jordan isn’t really into it, but when we spoke about the Tale as Old as Time dance he thought it was a great idea.
“Only a few people knew we were doing it, so it was a total surprise for everyone else – and a a we had only practiced it once!”
After the food, the couple had their first dance and quickly transformed into characters Belle and the Beast from the Disney classic and wowed their guests with the dance.
Guest Lorna Paterson, who captured the footage on her phone, posted it to Facebook, said: “The bride and groom treated us all to a lovely surprise by changing into costume and danced to Walt Disney’s Beauty And The Beast – so sweet!”
Amy added: “It was an amazing day and everyone loved the dance. It turned out so well, considering we had only practiced it together once!”
The new Mrs Gallacher, who works as a waitress, is so obsessed with Disney that she also had a Disney-themed hen night.
The couple are jetting off to Mexico at the end of the month on their honeymoon but Amy also plans to go to Disneyland with Jordan, who works as a carer, in the near future.
Amy said: “We are going to Mexico for our honeymoon but one day we hope to go to Florida and see the real castle.”
