Positive thinking lands Lotto windfall

A Larkhall based charity have been given a funding boost.

Wholistic Life received £9,961 from the National Lottery after applying to Awards for All Scotland.

Wholistic Life – Coaching for kids, who were granted charity status in January 2017, deliver six week programmes, concentrat­ing on teaching young people how the power of their thoughts and mind can create happiness, confidence, and success.

Employing a holistic approach, introducin­g young people to alternativ­e mental health therapies, the charity aims to safeguard and protect the mental wellbeing of young people.

Working closely with the charity, MSP for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse, Christina Mckelvie, said: “This funding windfall is a huge boost, not only to the charity, but more importantl­y for the young people they admirably serve.

“Susan, Aimee and the rest of the team deserve immense credit for all the work they have done – and this is only the beginning!

“To see the charity grow in stature and influence in such a short period of time is remarkable and a clear testament to the excellent services provided.”

Wholistic Life Chief Executive, Susan Livingston­e, added: “We are thrilled to receive funding from Awards for All as this will be invaluable in helping us develop our organisati­on even further.

“This grant will enable us to achieve our aim of delivering our services directly to local young people at the heart of their community.”
