Up and down night at the Rotary club
Hamilton Rotary Club welcomedvicki Mccluskey, president of the Ups and Downs theatre group, to their regular Thursday evening meeting.
The award-winning group is made up made up of children and young adults with Down’s syndrome and their siblings.
Ups and Downs was formed in 1995 and the following year they staged their popular show at Motherwell Civic Centre.
Since then, the annual show has gone from strength to strength and the youngsters now perform at Hamilton Town House.
Their next run of performances will be in March 2018.
The audience for the main annual show has grown from 1500 to 3500 people
Rotary members enjoyed a lengthy Q&A session with Vicki, who was ably supported by young students from the theatre group.
The group has performed at The Royal Highland Show, The Edinburgh Festival and also won a Great Scot award.
