Fun day helps out the hospice

-

A fun day held by Terex Trucks raised £2200 for St Andrew’s Hospice.

The Motherwell-based manufacturer of rigid and articulated haulers held the event at their base in the town.

With over 1000 staff members and their family and friends in attendance, it featured fun activities including face painting, magicians, climbing walls, bucking broncos and many more fairground attractions.

Director and general manager of Terex Trucks, Paul Douglas, said:“our gala day is an opportunity for us to invite our staff and their family and friends on site to have a fun day out as well as a way for us to say thank you for their hard work throughout the year.

“There was lots of interest in the factory tours and we had fantastic feedback from those who walked the shop floor. It is great to know that many people left knowing a bit more about what we do here.”

A charity raffle raised £2200 for the hospice, with winning prizes including an overnight break at the Dakota Hotel Eurocentral and lunch vouchers for the Moorings hotel in Motherwell.
